One quiet afternoon my six-year-old son was very expressively detailing an idea he had for a Lego project he wanted to construct. His hands were wildly gesturing and his words were coming out nearly faster than he could actually speak them.

I told him that it sounded like he had a great vision. He cocked his head to the side and quizzically asked me what a vision was. I told him that a vision was a dream or an idea that was clear and detailed. A vision was something that he could picture in his head and work towards achieving.

He asked me if I had a vision. I chuckled a little bit and said that sometimes I have a vision about some things, but don’t always have a vision about everything...

Looking content, this answer seemed to satisfy his inquiries and I could see his wheels turning to formulate additional Lego architectural ideas once more.

What areas of your life do you have a clear vision about? Or, maybe you just have areas in your life that you wish you had a clearer vision about.

What's holding you back from finding clarity in your life? Most of the time, it boils down to just that - time. If you're content with your life, then maybe you don't need to reevaluate your future and goals . . . BUT . . . if you've got a little stir of unrest in your belly, it probably is time to do a little soul searching. Setting time aside to simply think about where you're at, and where you want to go isn't something you'll regret.
